Download Oregon Content Standards

The State Board of Education continues to adopt revisions of the Oregon content standards for K-12 education. The revisions are made based on the experience and reviews of teachers and other education professionals around the state. Revised standards attempt to be clearer, contain eligible content statements, provide a more solid foundation for assessment, and align with Oregon's college admission standards. The standards available on this page are the current standards for the 2003-2004 school year. Also available are Mathematics (implementation 2004-2005), and English standards (implementation 2005-2006).

Downloading and Saving the Files

You can download MS Word or RTF versions of the standards from the list following these instructions.

To download files:

Windows
  1. Right-click on the appropriate link below and choose Save Link As or Save Target As.
  2. Select a folder on your computer in which to save the document.
  3. Open the appropriate application (such as MS Word) and from the File menu, choose Open.
  4. Within the "Open" dialog, go to your previously selected folder and open the file.
Macintosh
  1. Click and hold the mouse button on the appropriate link. When the resulting menu appears, choose Save Link As or Download Link To Disk.
  2. Select a folder on the Mac in which to save the document.
  3. Open the appropriate application (such as MS Word) and from the File menu, choose Open.
  4. Within the "Open" dialog, go to your previously selected folder and open the file.
